Art, Jewellery and the Opulence of the Baroque

On a relaxed Saturday afternoon Art and Jewellery enthusiasts gathered at the

gorgeous showroom of Rohan Jewellers to listen to a discussion regards the Caravaggio, The Baroque period and it's link to Baroque Art.

The afternoon started with a lively get together amongst friends, clients and work associates. Enjoying a glass of Franciacorta, the Italian produced bubbles in the manner of champagne, the conversation flowed as guests speculated about the content of the discussion.

Minutes later, Franca and Rohan were seated, and the discussion commenced. It covered the Protestant Reformation, which set the context for the era, the church's influence on painting styles to bring followers back to Catholicism, and the evolution of the Baroque style from these occurrences. The guests appreciated an informative, interesting, and occasionally humorous portrayal of the period.

It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all. Looking forward to the next conversation.
